Mr. Hal Edgar Draughn

Mr. Hal Edgar Draughn, age 80, of Mount Airy passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1937 in Surry County to the late George Mickle and Sallie Marion Draughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Draughn; his sister, Beulah Ferrell; his brothers, Coke Draughn, Kermit Draughn and Fred Draughn; and his in laws, Kyle and Ella Mays. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Mays Draughn; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathi and Mark Cave; granddaughter, Hannah Cave; sisters, Helen McCormick and Patty Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Katie Draughn; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Draughn was a lineman and a carpenter. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson and at other times in the fellowship hall of Ladonia Baptist Church. The service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Ladonia Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Holder and Reverend Kenneth Jessup officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ladonia Baptist Church, 163 Raven Knob Road, Mount Airy NC 27030.
