Hallie McMillian

Mrs. Hallie Ayers McMillian, age, 89, of Cana, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Heritage Hall in Laurel Fork VA.  She was born April 1, 1930 to the late Davis and Mary Guynn Ayers.  Mrs. McMillian retired from Quality Mills and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are son and daughters-in-law, Philmore and Janet McMillian, Susan McMillian; grandchildren, Donny McMillian and wife Sherry, Freddie McMillian, Jerry McMillian and wife Diane; great-grandchildren, Mason and Jacob McMillian; sister, Hassie Love.  In addition to her parents Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by her husband, Foye McMillian; son J.D. McMillian; sister, Hazel Dalton; brother, Harvey Ayers as well as five infant children who died at birth.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Roy Quesinberry.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
