Harding Clyde Niston, Jr

Mr. Harding Clyde Niston, Jr., 50, of Mt. Airy, went to be with the Lord and joined his dear mother on her birthday, Saturday, February 24, 2007. Mr. Niston was born November 19, 1956, in Surry County, to Harding Clyde Niston, Sr. and the late Gladys Sutphin Niston. Mr. Niston was of the Baptist Faith. He was a fun-loving son, brother and uncle whom we will miss dearly. In addition to his father who resides in Mt. Airy, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Mitch Surratt and Linda and Delmer Casstevens, all of Mt. Airy; a niece and husband, Gloria and Stan White of Mt. Airy; and four nephews, Terry Casstevens of Apex, Randy Casstevens and fiance, Erin Cannon, of Chevy Chase, MD, and Lane Surratt and Justin Surratt, both of Mt. Airy. In addition to his mother, Mr. Niston was preceded in death by an infant sister, Judy Louise Niston. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy, conducted by the Rev. Junior Dawson. Burial will follow in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Tuesday night at Moody Funeral Home.
