Harmon Wade Fleming

Mr. Harmon Wade Fleming age 76 of 825 Skyview Drive, Ararat, VA husband of Mrs. Margie Eaton Fleming passed away Monday April 16, 2007 at his home. Mr. Fleming was born July 27, 1930 in Carroll County, VA to the late James Monroe and Daisy Mayberry Fleming. He was a retired Tool and Dye instructor with the Caldwell Community College and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Fleming was a member of the Epsilon Pi Tau among technology educators, and had been featured in the School Shop Magazine for his article on CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design /Computer Aided Machining) and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife, Margie E. Fleming of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Richard Van Auken, Advance, NC, a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Wade and Patricia Fleming, Fancy Gap, VA, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gladys Dawson, Ararat, VA, Nevvie and Robert Brooks, Lynchburg, VA, a brother and two sisters-in-law, Howard and Phyllis Fleming, Cana, VA and Lavonna Fleming, Lowgap, NC, a half brother, James Fleming, Reidsville, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by a sister, Ima Mae Collins, two half sisters, Florence Hiatt and Virginia Chandler, a brother, Joice Douglas Fleming and two half brothers, Jessie Fleming and Glenn Fleming, and a brother-in-law, Harry Dawson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Dean Eaton, Rev. Tommy Nichols and Rev. Syreda Bryant. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:30 AM Thursday until the hour of the service at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad, Willis Gap Road, Ararat, VA. 24053 or to Northside Baptist Church, 886 Fowler Road, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
