Harold T. Collins

Mr. Harold T. Collins, age 82 of Stuart, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at his home.  He was born in Patrick County on April 14, 1936, to the late George W. Collins and Annie Sue Hutchens Collins.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Archie, Harry Lee and Fred Collins and three sisters, Inez Towe, Rachel Jefferson, and Pauline Joyce. 

“Harold T.”, which is what everyone called him, worked at Stanley Chevrolet for over 50 years.  He was an extremely hard worker and was known by almost everyone in Patrick County.  He is survived by his wife, Sara Leigh Dickerson Collins; two daughters, Pamela Collins Grundmann (Mike) and Leigh Anne Collins Whitlock (Wallace); four grandchildren, Tyler S. Grundmann, Carly E. Grundmann, Camden C. Whitlock and Collins L. Whitlock; numerous nieces and nephews;  and special care companions, Debra V. Martin and Tara K. Scott.  Our family cannot thank them enough for the special care they gave him.

Harold T. will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew him.  The Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, VA with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends from 12-2pm at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stuart Cemetery Association, P.O.
