Harold Herbert Creasey

Mr. Harold Herbert Creasey, 73, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, November 8, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Creasey was born April 16, 1949, in Surry County, one of three children born to the late Charles Herbert and Matilda Mae O’Neal Creasey.  Harold worked at Spencer’s Inc. for 26 years.  Later, he worked as a custodian and bus driver for Surry County Schools.  He was a Christian and a dedicated member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.  He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Creasey of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sandra Creasey of the home; a granddaughter, Shannon Willard of Westfield; two great-grandchildren, Abrianna Simmons and Ryker Simmons, both of Westfield; two nieces and their husbands, Lea Anna and Randy Goins and Susan and Jason Chilton, all of Mount Airy; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Olivia and T.J. Hicks, Trey Goins, Drew Goins, Belle Goins, Isaac Chilton, Hannah Chilton, and Sarah Chilton, all of Mount Airy; a great-great niece, Amylynn Hicks of Mount Airy; a great-great-nephew, Blaze Hicks of Mount Airy; an aunt, Mildred Adams of King; an uncle and his wife, James and Hulda Creasey of King; and his special dog, Daisy Mae Creasey.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Creasey was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Joy Mayes Creasey; his twin sister, Carol Frances Creasey Mayes; and a brother, Ronald Dean Creasey.  No formal funeral service will be held.  The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 374 Holly Springs Road, Mount Airy, NC  27030.
