Harold Eugene Dalton

        Mr. Harold Eugene Dalton, age 80 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.  He was born in Laurel Fork, Virginia on May 20, 1940, to the late Dorsey Albert Dalton and Rosa Marshall Dalton.  Harold faithfully served in the Army National Guard, retired from the textile industry, enjoyed golf, NASCAR, and cheering on  his baseball team the St. Louis Cardinals.  He took joy in being Papa to his two grandchildren.

        Mr. Dalton is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Pack Dalton of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Catherine Dalton of Ararat, two grandchildren, Ashley Dalton and Joshua Dalton; one brother and sister-in-law, Delmon Burt and Mildred Dalton; one sister, Virginia Brannock of Mount Airy; North Carolina, several nieces and nephews; and his golf buddies.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, VA  24171.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
