Harold Dean Felts

Mr. Harold Dean Felts, 65, of Dobson passed away on Friday June 27, 2008 at Golden Living Nursing Center of Mount Airy. He was born in Surry County on December 4, 1942 to the late William Harvey and Mamie Griffin Felts. He was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Hooker and Susan and Mike Parsons, all of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell "Rusty" and Jenny Felts of Dobson and Toby and Denise Felts of Lowgap; six grandchildren, Ben and wife Lindsey Hooker, Will Felts, Tyler Felts, Lily Felts, Allison Parsons and Maggie Felts. In addition to his parents, Mr. Felts was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary "Sissy" Evans and Shelby Humphries and a brother, Wallace "Sonny" Felts. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home with no formal funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane Mount Airy, NC 27030 or to Northern Home Care Indignant Fund 1401 Boggs Drive Mount Airy, NC 27030.
