Harold Eugene Finley

Mr. Harold Eugene Finley, 87, of Mount Airy, passed away early Thursday morning, December 26, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mr. Finley was born March 28, 1932, in Welch, WV, the son of the late Wally Monroe and Lillie Jane Hall Finley.  Harold served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and he retired from Kentucky Derby Hosiery after many years of service.  He is survived by a daughter, Lena Hutson; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harold and Candy Finley, Eugene and Vickie Finley, and Mike Finley; his grandchildren, Holly and Brian Hodges, Missey Finley, Samantha Finley, Cheyenne Finley, Jody Goins, Robert Williams, Santana McKenzie, and Brandon and Randie Goins; his great-grandchildren, Jayce, Mia, Luna, Trevor, and Kairi; and a brother, Rolly E. Finley.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Finley was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Elizabeth Money Finley; a son-in-law, Luther Hutson; a granddaughter, Jessica Ann Finley; an infant sister; and five brothers, Walter Finley, Luther Finley, Marvin Finley, Garnett Finley, and Ray Finley.  A service of worship and celebration of Harold’s life will be held Sunday, December 29, 2019, at 3:00 PM at The Salvation Army, with Lieutenant Jeff Brooks and Lieutenant Lea Brooks officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
