Harry "Bucky" Bowman, Jr

Mr. Harry Wade “Bucky” Bowman, Jr., age 43 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Baptist Hospital. Mr. Bowman was born in Forsyth County on February 19, 1974 to Donna Diane Jessup Canter and the late Harry Bowman, Sr. He was a great father, son, brother and friend. Surviving is his mother and step father, Dianne and Rodney Canter; a daughter, Megan Marie Gwyn; a son, David Luke Bowman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Vern Wright; and Tonya and Steve Arnett; brothers , Dwayne Bowman, and Charles Bowman; step sisters, Amanda Johnson, Erica Canter, and Brooke Ayers; and a step brother, Rodney Canter, II. In addition to his father, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Renie Niten Bowman and Elijah and Sylvia Jessup. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Bowman Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to assist with funeral expenses, and may be mailed to Jean Horton at 420 Spring St., Mount Airy, NC 27030.
