Mr. Harry Spencer Brintle, 72, of Mount Airy, passed away early Monday morning, December 26, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Brintle was born January 3, 1950, in Surry County, the son of the late Jacob Spencer Brintle and Betty Marie Atkins Brintle. Harry retired from Surry-Yadkin Electric Membership Corporation after 42 years of service. He is survived by a son, Michael Joe Brintle and his fiancée, Carolyn Wells Rudisill, of Mount Airy; four grandchildren, Lexi Brintle, Logan Brintle, Taylor Rudisill, and Emma Rudisill; a brother and sister-in-law, Blaine and Sue Brintle; a very special nephew, Paul Hutchens, Jr.; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by several siblings, Betsy Hutchens, Johnnie Mae Wackerman, Don Brintle, Frank Brintle, Gerald Brintle, Max Brintle, Joe Brintle, Jack Brintle, Hugh Brintle, and Hal Brintle. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with services conducted by Rev. Joe Atkins. Burial will follow in the White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 1, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
