Harry Lee Johnson

Mr. Harry Lee Johnson, age 71 of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born in Surry County on May 21, 1940 to the late Edward Lawrence and Donna Lee Anderson Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired from Coca-Cola, Inc. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Misty Johnson and Weston and Tiffany Johnson all of Mt. Airy; a grandson, Hunter Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and O. Harvey Griggs; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Leonard Johnson and Robert and Peggy Johnson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jo Johnson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the First Church of the Brethren, 1929 Welch Rd., Mt. Airy by Rev. Sammy Lawson. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall on Saturday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
