Harry Lee Litten

         Mr. Harry Lee Litten, age 78 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.  He was born in Shenandoah County on July 30, 1942 to the late Mervin Eugene “Stoney” Litten and Gladys Green Litten.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe Lawless Litten, and three brothers, Carroll “Sweet Pea” Litten, Donald R. Litten, and Phillip W. Litten.  Harry Lee had been a Licensed Funeral Director for over 50 years and served as Manager of Moody Funeral Services in Stuart for over 20 years.  He was a longtime broadcaster on WHEO radio station.  He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and Mountain Home Lodge #263.

         Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David Lee and Mindy Litten of Mt. Jackson, Andrew and Tonya Shelton of Stuart; four grandchildren, Andrew Jacob Shelton, Nathan Lee Shelton, Matthew Litten, Morgan Leigh Litten; one sister, Judy Hopson of Knoxville, TN; three brothers, James “Jim” Litten of Stuart; Gary Litten of Edinburg, Gregory Litten of Edinburg; and several nieces and nephews.

         Following Covid19 regulations, a memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Sycamore Baptist Church with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating.  Another memorial service will be held at a later date at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patrick County Food Bank, P. O Box 1304, Stuart, VA 24171 or to Sycamore Baptist Church c/o Nancy Midkiff, Treasurer, 171 Sycamore Church Lane, Stuart, VA 24171.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
