Harry Smith Phillips

Mr. Harry Smith Phillips, age 71, of Mt, Airy, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He was born in Surry County on July 10, 1949 to the late Walter and Thelma Phillips.  Mr. Phillips was a retired truck driver from Murrows Trucking.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife  Frances Phillips of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Shane Gammons, Tracy Glidewell; sons, and daughter-in-law, Chris Phillips, Jason and Cynthia Phillips; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.  There will be no formal services at the funeral home however; the family will have a service on their own at a later date.  The family would like to send a special thanks to Mt. Airy Dialysis Center for all their care and support during Mr., Phillips time spent with them.
