Harvey Kennett Bray

Harvey Kennett Bray, age 75, born March 21, 1947, in Surry County, passed away at home Tuesday, March 29, 2022.  A veteran of the US Navy, Kennett fought a hard prolonged battle against diabetes and multiple painful illnesses.  Preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey and Martha Olivia (Royal) Bray, and his brother, Boyd Kyle Bray.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean(née Smith), brothers Kelly Claude, James Kenneth, and sister Oma Kathleen Myers.  He is also mourned by his son, Michael Allen Bray (Larkin) and granddaughters Angela, Kelly, Jennifer, Alexandra, and Samantha. His many nieces and nephews include Carol, Reba, Roger, Rodney, Roger, Randy, Joanne, Clint, and Travis.  Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 1-2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. Services will be at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Rev. Don Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Knob Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Bray Family.
