Harvey Wayne Fain

Mr. Harvey Wayne Fain, 51, of Ararat, VA, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, at his home. Mr. Fain was born April 9, 1957, in Patrick County, VA, to John Leonard and Myrtle Sarah Edwards Fain. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Jackie Young Fain of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Jessica and Jacob Casstevens of Ararat, VA; sons, John Leonard Fain and fiancee, Janet Stevens, of the home, and James "Shorty" and Alicia Fain also of Ararat; two grandchildren, Ethan Bradley Casstevens and Madison Grace Fain; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and James Fain of Stuart, VA, Delphia and Jack Wall of Dobson, NC, Ruby and Joel Sheppard of Westfield, NC, Judy and John Bowman of Meadows of Dan, VA, Brenda and Doug Wilkey of Mt. Airy, NC, and Linda and Edd Hill of Cana, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlice and Kathleen Fain of Stuart, VA, Albert and Patty Fain also of Stuart, Bruce and Margaret Fain of Martinsville, VA, William and Kay Fain also of Martinsville, Burton and Vickie Fain, Carl and Linda Fain and Harold and Shirley Fain all of Stuart, VA; and a special nephew, R.J. Fain. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fain was preceded in death by two sisters, Della Cook and Doris Nunn. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Rickey Rogers. Burial will follow in the Henry Young Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
