Harvey Ray Wall

Mr. Harvey Ray Wall, age 76 of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday afternoon February 20, 2024, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He was born July 21, 1947, in Surry County to the late Harvey Wilson Wall and Evelyn Alice Hill Wall.  Ray proudly served our country in the US Air Force.  After leaving the military Ray worked for Sears for 20 years as a repairman, there was nothing he couldn’t fix.   Mr. Wall was also the owner of Thacker & Wall Service Company in Mount Airy.  After retirement he enjoyed bee keeping and gardening.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Anne Wimbish Wall; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alyson and Greg Semones, and Andrea and Stephen Hansen; grandchildren, Kamryn Semones and Colsen Semones; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Eli Atwell, and Barbara and Charley Weir; and many other family and friends.  Graveside services will be held on Sunday February 25, 2024, at 2:00pm in Oakdale Cemetery with service conducted by Mr. Mark Thacker and Rev. Dorothy Sullivan, Military Honors by VFW Memorial Honor Guard, Pilot Mountain Post 9436 and Mt.
