Haskel Lee Partridge

Mr. Haskel Lee Partridge, 83, of Cana, VA passed away on April 26, 2017 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. He was born August 11, 1933 in Ft. Payne, AL to the late Chester M. and Leona Tribble Partridge. He bravely served in the U.S. Navy prior to working at the North Carolina Granite Quarry. He ended his career, retiring as a tug boat Captain from Newport News Ship Building. He is survived by a son-in-law, Robert Nuhfer and girlfriend, Debbie Jessup; step children and spouses, Patti Page and Scotty Goins, Clark and Melinda Felts, William Felts, Grace and Wayne Rock, Robin Weeks and Sue Morris; and seven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Partridge was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Lou Barker, and second wife, Pat Mullins Felts Partridge; a daughter, Debra Denise Nuhfer, and brothers, Douglas, Herbert, and Curtis Partridge. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on May 2, 2017 at Flat Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors by VFW Memorial Guard, Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
