Hattie McCraw Newman

Mrs. Hattie McCraw Newman, age 79 of Mt. Airy, widow of Mr. Bernard Leon Newman, passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at Universal Health Care in King. Mrs. Newman was born in Carroll County, September 26, 1926 to Henry Booker and Callie Virginia Stoneman McCraw. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was retired from Pine State Knitting Co. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Darrell Bowlen of Pilot Mountain; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Regina Newman of Winston-Salem; grandchildren; Kim Westmoreland of Mt. Airy; Chris Bowlen of Pilot Mountain; Kayla Newman and Justin Newman both of Winston-Salem; a sister, Ruth Payne of Rural Hall, two sister-in-law, Vera McCraw, Lambsburg, VA and Ima Newman, Winston-Salem, NC and two brothers
