Hazel Mooney Coe

Mrs. Hazel Mooney Coe, 89, widow of Mr. William "Bill" Coe, of Dobson passed away on Sunday June 21, 2009 at Universal Healthcare of King. She was born in Surry County on January 26, 1920 to the late Jesse James and Etta Coe Mooney. Mrs. Coe was a homemaker and a member of Copeland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Shirley Mooney of Dobson and several special nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Joey Jessup and burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Kristy Elmore, 513 Melton Road Elkin, NC 28621.
