Hazel Boyd Cox

Mrs. Hazel Boyd Cox, 92, of Orange City, FL, died Thursday, October 4, 2007. Born in Carroll County, VA, Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late Agnes Elizabeth Boyd and William Levi Boyd. She was a lifetime member of Grace Moravian Church in Mount Airy and frequently attended Rolling Hills Moravian Church in Longwood, FL. She was cherished and loved by her family and friends. Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her husband, W.L. Cox; a son, Phillip Sonny Boyd; a sister, Polly Boyd Moxley; and two brothers, Woodson Boyd and William Boyd. She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Virginia M. Boyd of Orange City, FL, and Polly Cox of Mount Airy; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at 11:00 at Grace Moravian Church, 1401 North Main Street, Mount Airy, with a viewing at 10:00 AM at the church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Tom Shelton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Moravian Church Flower Fund.
