Hazel Golden Edwards

Mrs. Hazel Golden Edwards, 92, of Elkin, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Heritage Care of Elkin. She was born September 11, 1918, in Surry County, to the late Harrison and Ada Melinda Greenwood Golden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Edwards; and a sister, Lalah Fulk. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Harley Gordon Edwards, Sr. of Dobson; and a grandson, Harley Gordon Edwards, Jr. of Galax, VA.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 22, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with Dr. Carl Childs officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
