Mrs. Hazel Elizabeth Hunter Willard age 87 of 113 Arlington St. Mt. Airy, widow of Mr. Robert Glenn "Jack" Willard "our precious mother" passed away Friday morning November 17, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Willard was born December 8, 1918 in Patrick County to the late John and Susan Ella Smith Hunter, she was a homemaker and member of Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and Billy Bowman and Pauline and David Atkins all of Ararat, VA., Brenda and Billy Mabe and Debbie and Ted Russell all of Mt. Airy, two grandchildren Bobby Lee Easter of Mt. Airy and Robin and Jamie Sigmon of Concover, two great grandchildren Brandon Sigmon and Dylan Sigmon both of Conover, one sister Viona Hunter of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by a son Robert Glenn Willard, a sister Essie Lowery and five brothers Romey Hunter, Curtis Hunter, Walter Hunter, Monroe Hunter and Wise Hunter. A special thank you to her nephew Edward Goins and to Surry Friends and Seniors and a special thank you to Ethel King, Ingel Corn, Kathy Ashburn, Sheila Reynolds and Britney Buckley. Funeral services will be held Sunday November 19, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Jerry Whitlow with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sat night 7 to 9 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
