Heather Leanne Wilkins Frye

Mrs. Heather Leanne Wilkins Frye, 36, of Mount Airy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 24, 2017. Mrs. Frye was born November 12, 1980, in Guilford County, to Bruce Craig and Wanda Walls Wilkins. Leanne graduated from Surry Central High School in 1999 and later from East Carolina University. She was a dedicated Christian with an amazing love for her Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dobson. Leanne was also a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Stephen Frye; a daughter, Levin Wynter Frye; a son, Anders Solomon Frye; her parents, Bruce Craig and Wanda Walls Wilkins; a sister, Kelly Wilkins Hannon; a brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Carla Wilkins; two nephews, Caden Hannon and Braylon Hannon; her maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Jean Walls; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Pamela Frye; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lori and Jeff Creasman and Chris and Summer Frye; her aunts, uncles, and cousins, Bob and Katie Wilkins, Diane Walls, Emily Clark, Aaron Wilkins, Shea Wilkins Sawyers, Lindsey, Haylee, Mason Wilkins, and Will Allen; her lifelong friend, Alison Venable; her prayer warrior, Jeanna Jenkins; and dear friends, Gary and Jean Kyttle. Leanne was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Watkins and Mary Summerlin Wilkins; and an uncle and aunt, Bill and Martha Wilkins. A service of worship and celebration of Leanne’s life will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Dobson, with the Rev. Cory Honeycutt officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to The Riley Voss Fund, c/o State Employees’ Credit Union, P.O. Box 1005, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
