Helen Lorraine Beesmer

Mrs. Helen Lorraine Bishop Beesmer 72, of Mount Airy NC, passed away at her home, Monday, December 7, 2020.  She was born in Honesdale, PA to the late Virgil and Helen Hazen Bishop. Mrs. Beesmer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She worked for the Wayne County PA Family Center as a Parent Educator, prior to retirement in 2011, when she moved to Mount Airy.  She loved tending to her flowers and being out in nature. What she really loved was Saturday dinners with the entire family.  Mrs. Beesmer is survived by her husband of 54 years, John “Jack” Harford Beesmer, daughter Tina and husband Howard Fulmor of Mount Airy. A grandson Eric Beesmer and his wife Kourtnie, their three children, Alana Lorraine, Kaleah Katherine, and Bricen Eric all living in Mount Airy. Another grandson Zayne Scelta of Dalton, PA, and Emily Burke of Lancaster, PA, an extended family member. She is also survived by one sister Martha Kraft of Corry, PA, and several nieces and nephews.  Helen was proceeded in death by a daughter Kristy Beesmer Scelta, a sister Joyce Kovalesk and two brothers, Virgil “Ace” Bishop and Floyd Bishop.
