Helen Chandler

Mrs. Helen Foalden Chandler, 85, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008. Mrs. Chandler was born December 31, 1922, in Sullivan, TN, to the late George and Willie Foalden. She was retired from Henredon and a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Chandler was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra "Sandy" and James Leon Hutson and Marcie and Rocky Gwyn, all of Mount Airy, and Missy and Paul Kuchta of Apple Valley, MN; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Chandler of Smithville, Michael and Dianna Chandler of Willis Gap, VA, and Ricky Chandler and fiancee, Linda Kirkman, of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Nicole Chandler of the U.S. Navy Seals, Heather Renee Gwyn, J.J. Chandler, Monica Chamberlain, Jeffrey Chandler, Stacy Cardin, Ann Crotts, Brad Gwyn, Tim Gwyn, and Misty Chandler; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Gwyn; several sisters; and several brothers. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 28, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Ray Huston officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
