Helen Fortner

         Mrs. Helen Hopkins Fortner, age 49, of Ridgeway passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Georgia on September 29, 1970 to the late Herman and Ola Hopkins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Caben Trent; and one brother, Nicky Hopkins.  Helen loved crocheting and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

         Surviving are her husband, Timothy Fortner of the home; two sons, James Trent of Danville, Kyle Hodges of Ridgeway; two daughters, Elizabeth Hodges, Amber Fortner both of Patrick Springs; three grandchildren, Kalie Trent, Zane Trent, Nicholas Trent; and several other family and friends.

         A graveside service will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Critz Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor James Clifton officiating.  Anyone may come by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart to pay their respects on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 8 to 5.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Helen Fortner Memorial Fund, P.
