Helen Julia Brown Holder

Mrs. Helen Julia “Ma” Brown Holder, 67, of Mount Airy, went home to be with the Lord on Friday night, January 28, 2022.  Mrs. Holder was born October 21, 1954, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Daniel and Versie Noah Brown.  “Ma” worked for her daughter as a cook at Central Café in Dobson, creating smiles from co-workers and patrons.  She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, and she was truly loved by everyone that knew her.  She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Noel Easter and Tanya and Josh Forest; her grandchildren, Scotty and Holly Easter, Preacher Jake and Shelby Easter, Hannah Williams and her fiancé, Gavin Wright, K.K. Williams, and Addie Forest; her great-grandchildren, Landon, Kloey, Cayden, Nora, Atticus, and Rosie; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard Wayne and Esdell Brown; and a special friend, Robin White.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Columbus Holder; a son, Jesse Nathan Holder; and two sisters, Frances Holder and Peggy Lucille Brown.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, with Dr. Jonathan Barker and Preacher Jake Easter officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
