Henry Cecil Goins

Mr. Henry Cecil Goins, 76, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at his home. Mr. Goins was born July 8, 1934, in Patrick County, VA, to the late James Hanible and Alice Ann Willard Goins. He was a retired sawmill worker. Mr. Goins is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and James Johnson of Mount Airy; a grandson, Kevin Johnson of Mount Airy; and two sisters, Edna Willard and Zelda Baldwin, both of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Goins; four sisters, Mable Bowman, Gladys Bowman, Thelma Wright, and Minnie Snuggs; and three brothers, Hanible Goins, Claude Goins, and Elbert Goins. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Brother Reavis Bowman and Brother Joe Sloop officiating. Burial will follow in the Goins Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
