Henry Holt

Mr. Henry Edward Holt, 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday morning February 28, 2021 at Northern Regional Hospital.  He was born in Patrick County on April 14, 1941 to the late Joe and Polly Willard Holt.  He was a self-employed painter for many years.  Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Danny Edward Holt and Kenneth Henry Holt; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. William Holt; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Holt was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Shelton; a son, Michael Holt; two sisters, Audrey Bowman and Louise Holt; and by seven of his eight brothers, James, Paul, Randolph, Clarence, Bobby, Joe, and Dewey Holt.  A graveside service will be held on Friday March 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. William Holt officiating.  There will not be any formal visitation for Mr. Holt at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Holt family.   To send flowers to Henry's family, please visit our floral store.
