Henry Harden Johnson, Jr

Mr. Henry Harden Johnson, Jr. age 86 of Fayetteville, NC formerly of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Cape Fear Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. He was born November 11, 1920 in Surry County to the late Henry Harden Johnson, Sr. and Lena Pruitt Johnson. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII and was a member of The First Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. Surviving are two nephews, Jerome Johnson, Raleigh, NC, and Franklin Stokley, Wilmington, NC, eight first cousins, Robert Johnson, Roscoe Leftwich, Inez Belton, Henrietta Bingman all of Mt. Airy, Norma Kallam, White Plains, Hugh Johnson and Avanelle Elder, Mt. Airy , and Eva J. Page, Columbus, OH and long time guardian and special friend, Ed McGee, Mt. Airy, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Stokley and a brother, Graham "Bill" Johnson. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Oakdale Cemetery conducted by Rev. Chris Aho. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
