Henry Curtis Young

            Mr. Henry Curtis Young, age 91, of Stuart, passed away Sunday, January 06, 2019 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart.  He was born in Stokes County, NC on May 18, 1927 to the late James Branscome Young, Sr. and Nancy Gilbert Young.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Wall Young; one daughter, Diane Young Gilley; a grandson, Don Young; a great grandson, Quentin Redd; two sisters, Isabell Dodson, Addelene Shelton; and six brothers, J.B. Young, Jr., Winfred Young, Ray Young, Davis Young, Lloyd Young, and David Young.  Curtis had retired as a foreman with Bassett Walker.

            Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Young of Rockingham, NC; three grandchildren, Nikki Redd and husband, Chris, Chris Young and wife, Laura, Alanna Young; seven great grandchildren, Lydia Young, Piper Young, Kayla Redd, Cameron Redd, Julianna Young, Steven Young, Bradley Young; one brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Jo Young of Trinity, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

            A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Clyde Young officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 419 Hawthorne Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
