Hester Mae Burkhart Culler

Mrs. Hester Mae Burkhart Culler, age 80 of Stuart, VA, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Culler was born in Stokes County June 5 1927 to John Wesley and Alice Pell Burkhart. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is a daughter, Shirley Culler of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Melanie Culler of Stuart; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Culler and Kylene Culler also of Stuart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nellie and Robert Montgomery and Pam and Jim Griffith all of Ararat, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Frances Burkhart of Ararat, VA; Barney and Hazel Burkhart of Westfield, NC; Robey Burkhart and Bob Burkhart both of Ararat, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Culler was preceded in death by her husband Ansel Culler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy by Rev. Darren Slate and Rev. David Freeman. Burial will follow in the Center Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 also at the funeral home.
