Hester Willard

Mrs. Hester Mae Bryant Willard, 82, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning May 18, 2021 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Surry County on October 20, 1938 to the late Harvey Wesley Bryant and Sarah Lila Felts Bryant.  She was retired from Kentucky Derby Hosiery after many years of service.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Brandon Marion, and Charlene Richards; grandchildren, Alisha and Blake Shupe, Cody Marion, Brittany Richards and Zachary Speaks, Dylan Richards and Calista Tomchick, DeLana Richards, and Carson Marion; a great-grandchild, Salem Shupe and one on the way; and a special friend, Betty Moorefield.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Willard.  Per Mrs. Willard’s wishes, there will not be any formal services or visitation.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Willard family.   To send flowers to Hester's family, please visit our floral store.
