Hilton "Buck" Leggett

Hilton "Buck" Leggett, age 92, a US Army Veteran and Construction Superintendent for H. B. Rowe Construction passed away peacefully on March 6^th, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  Buck was a member and deacon at Mount Carmel Baptist Church for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbirth Marcus and Eva Hardin Leggett; his wife, Natalie Davis Leggett, brothers, Thomas Leggett, Horace Leggett, Bruce Leggett and sisters, Beatrice Surles, and Ruby Ivey.  Surviving are his son, Kenneth Leggett and wife Paula Winton Leggett, Grandsons William Thomas Leggett and James Leggett, Granddaughters Julia Gale and husband Patrick Gale, Sarah Bloxham and husband Brandon Bloxham, Emily Stroupe and husband Zachary Stroupe along with seven great grandchildren, Mason Leggett, Kayleigh Leggett, Ella Gale, Harrison Gale, Paxton Stroupe, Ruby Bloxham, and Owen Stroupe and special friends Cameo White, Matthew Signor, Wyatt Signor, Maverick White and Juan Granados.  Funeral service will be held Friday March 10, 2023, at 2:00PM in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Schuyler officiating.  A private family burial will take place following the service.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Foundation in honor of Hilton Leggett.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Leggett family.
