Homer Harold White

Mr. Homer Harold White, age 89, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  He was born in Surry County on October 22, 1930, to the late George Washington White and to the late Rannie Hodges White.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Freeman White; grandson, Jerrod White; three sisters, Mary Lou Lawson, June Wallace, Georgia Hall.  Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Ila White, Todd and Dawn White, Barry White and Tracy Chapman; grandchildren, Matt White, Michael White, Jason White, Robert White, Cory White, several great-grandchildren; brother, Oscar White.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Central View Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. Rick Jackson will officiate the services. His body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home until carried to the church to lie in state 30 min. before the services.  The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
