Howard Wayne "Clicky" Davis

Mr. Howard Wayne "Clicky" Davis, 54, of 137 Bushwood Lane, Mount Airy, NC, husband of Reta Gayle Pike Davis, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Davis was born May 29, 1952, in Wythe County, VA, to Stella Katherine Williams Davis and the late John McGinnis Davis. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Christian faith. He is survived by his wife, Reta Gayle Pike Davis of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Carol and Donald Kuespert of Middleburg, FL; three grandchildren, Alex Ivy, Tyler Kuespert, and Katie Kuespert, all of Middleburg, FL; his mother and stepfather, Stella Katherine and James Callahan of Wytheville, VA; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Jackie and Sammy Umberger and Ardith and Charles Ward, all of Rural Retreat, VA, Elizabeth Davis of Greenville, TN, and Deanie and Larry Dobbins and Donnie Sue Miller, all of Wytheville, VA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John M. Davis, II and Zettia Davis of Wytheville, VA, and James H. "Pete" and Becky Davis of Rural Retreat, VA; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dinnie and Debbie Jones of Mount Airy, NC. In addition to his father, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Waine Davis; and a brother, Albert B. Davis. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 20, 2006, at 11:00 AM at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel in Wytheville, VA. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Doug Cockerham, and burial will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, VA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, NC, and will receive friends Thursday night at Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA.
