Howard Raymond Dowell

Mr. Howard Raymond Dowell age 95 passed away May 13, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. was born in Carroll County Virginia to the late Martin Vanburn and Laura Susan Dean Dowell. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Hazel Irene and Ray N. Hahn of Rural Hall, NC a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Nelba Dowell; Mt. Aiary, NC, six grandchildren and spouses, Donald Dowell, Winston-Salem, NC, Jeffrey Dowell, Mt. Airy, NC, Keith Dowell, Mt. Airy, NC, Tammy and Steve Dowell, Mt. Airy, NC, Melanie and Ricky Huffman, Stokesdale, NC, Darrell Hahn, Winston-Salem, NC, and two great grandchildren, Landon Huffman and Camden Huffman, Stokesdale, NC. In addition to his parents Mr. Dowell was precede in death by his wife, Allene Dowell and ten brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Rocky Ford Christian Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Billy Moore. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
