Howard W. "Sleepy" Easter

Mr. Howard W. "Sleepy" Easter age 74 of 250 Sherman Drive, Cana, VA, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008, at his home. Mr. Easter was born January 21, 1934, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Floyd and Nellie Mae Easter Hall. He was a member of Rocky Ford Christian Church. Surviving are four grandsons, J.H. Lee Farmer, Cana, Robert Farmer, Norfolk, Joshua Farmer, Cana, Zachary Hull, Mt. Airy NC; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorsie and Carlie Combs of Cana, VA; two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Hennis and Lorraine Easter of Cana, Va, Haskell and Mary Easter and Bernell Easter and Mildred Easter all of Mount Airy, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by his wife Lettie June Edwards Easter, a daughter, Vicky Regina Easter Hull, two brothers, Harvey Easter, and Haywood Hobert Easter. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Israel Gwyn, Rev. Buster Sechrist and Rev. Bill Moore.. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Saturday at Moody Funeral Home.
