Howard Franklin Jones

Mr. Howard Franklin Jones age 62 of Tea Cup Lane, Lowgap, NC husband of Mrs. Hilda Mayes Jones passed away Saturday morning, December 16, 2006 in Moneta, VA. He was born February 21, 1944 in Carroll County, VA to the late Jacob Rufus and Maggie Felts Jones. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the US Marines Corps. He was a retired electrician and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Hilda M. Jones of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Dustin and Katie Jones, Siloam, NC Frankie and Veronica Murray, Columbiana, Al, a step son, Rick Clark, Sarento, FL, a daughter and husband, Christina Lynn and Britt Fort Myers, FL, a step daughter, and husband, Melanie and John Sink, Tobaccoville, NC, 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, step mother, Essie McMillian Jones Mayes, Cana, VA, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Carl Surratt, Mt. Airy, NC, Emma and Bobby Moyers, Moneta, VA, Mabel and Jim Winger, VA, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul And Carol Jones, Virginia Beach, VA, Thomas and Marcia Jones, Simpsonville, SC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde Jones, James Jones and Sydney Felts. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, December 18, 2006 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Clayton Tilley. The family will receive friends from 1:00 Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
