Hugh Harold Wilkins

Mr. Hugh Harold Wilkins, age 73, of Dobson, NC passed away on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Surry County on February 14, 1945 to the late Hugh Wilson Wilkins and the late Opal Simpson Wilkins. He was a Technology Manager for Innmar, a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Airforce having served during the Vietnam War. Surviving, are his wife, Judy Hutchins Wilkins of the home; daughter, Amber Shores of Thurmond; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerrel and Stephanie Wilkins of Haltom City TX., Danny James Wilkins of Bedford TX., Heath Shores of Winston Salem; five grandchildren, Andrew Wilkins, Alyssa Shores, LaShae Cockerham, Garrett Wilkins, Larissa Wilkins; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jim McGill of Germanton, NC.; mother-in-law, Colleen Hutchins Marion; sister-in-law, Sandra and husband Don Harris; brother-in-law’s, Ronnie and wife Edna Hutchins, Tony and wife Carol Hutchins.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday morning June 29, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. Rev. Trent Lyons and Rev. Roger Miller will officiate the services. His body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home until carried to the church to lie in state 30 Min before the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Children’s Center of Surry PO Box 692, Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home 947 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
