Hunter Dollarhite

         Mr. Hunter Dollarhite, age 85 of Stuart, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  He was born in Patrick County on September 11, 1935 to the late William Jefferson Dollarhite and Norma Vipperman Dollarhite.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lilly Dollarhite Moorefield; and two brothers, Herbert and Hassell Dollarhite.  Hunter retired from United Elastic and worked at WalMart in Stuart.  He enjoyed bee keeping and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

         Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Hazel DeHart Dollarhite of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald Hunter Dollarhite of Floyd, Kevin Scott Dollarhite and Tracey of Danbury, NC; three grandchildren, Laura Ann Conover and husband, Nick, Matthew Hunter Dollarhite and wife, Elizabeth, Amber Nicole Dollarhite; one great granddaughter, Alyssa Kaye Sample; three sisters, Stella Hopper of Eden, NC, Novella Meadows of Spencer, Mary Arlene Odell of Bassett; one brother, Bernie Lee Dollarhite of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
