Hurley Edward Holder

Mr. Hurley Edward Holder age 90 of Cana, VA passed away November 16, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC. Mr. Holder was born August 27, 1916 in Surry County, to the late Greely and Ada Jarrell Holder. He was retired and of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Betty) Holder of the home; a daughter, Patricia Lynn of Reidsville, NC; three step children, Elizabeth Reeves and Marty of Mt. Airy, Deborah Greene of Germanton, NC, Penny Hudson and Jim of Columbia, MD; three grandchildren, Rachel Lynn, Renee Pruitt and Steve and Brandi Flansburg; two step grandchildren, Amy Reeves and Ciera Hudson; five great grandchildren; a sister, Madeline Smith of Westminster, MD and a brother, Arlie Holder of FL. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, November 17, 2006 at 3:30 PM at Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
