Ida Lee Helton

              Mrs. Ida Lee Helton, age 67 of Bassett, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Atrium Health NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.  She was born in Patrick County on January 4, 1955, to the late Andrew and Lillian Gilley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Helton; one sister, Mildred Gilley; and three brothers, Tommy, Elwood, and Jamie Gilley.  Ida was a member of County Line Church of God of Prophecy.

          Surviving is three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Kim Tankersley, Jeff and Amber Tankersley, James Helton; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Alan Gilley; three sisters, Clovis Martin, Lucille Sawyers, Delores Gilley; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at County Line Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jason Callahan officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to County Line Church of God of Prophecy, 2900 County Line Rd., Patrick Springs, VA 24133.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
