On the 6th day of May, 2010, our mother, Ida Jane Hunt Rogers, a true, noble, and proud American Indian Princess was swept off of this temporal home, swept up unto the arms of the eagle to fly free in our true everlasting Spirit Land. A land free of disease, hunger, hurt, prejudice and poverty. A land full of hope, love, compassion and healing, both emotional and physical. Yes, my beloved Indian mother has gone home. My dear beloved mother was motivated by three things, her pride in being an American Indian, her love for the good Lord and the most important thing, the undying love for her family. So this is my final tribute to you, my beloved Indian mother. My dear mother, where is she now? She has gone home, home to walk along the path of the garden of the Great Spirit; she has gone home, home to a place where there is no grief or sorrow. She has gone home, home to a place where if we've made that sacrifice and have everlasting faith, we all will go. She has gone home to a place of happiness and love. She has gone home, home to the land of the Great Buffalo and to that of the magnificent eagle, never to become extinct again. She has gone home, home to where the streams and mountains are pure and beautiful, and unpolluted, as virgin as a newborn baby. She has gone home to a land of her beloved forefathers. She has gone home to where one has eternal youth and everlasting beauty. She has gone home, home to where the spring flowers do not wilt or die but remain in bloom forever. She has gone home, home to where one is free of greed and lust. She has gone home, home to where our children are free of abuse and neglect; they are only filled with love. She has gone home, home to where there are no monetary needs, therefore, no bills or payments. She has gone home, home to where the final payment is made on the way in which you have lived your life, gave love to one another, not asking for anything in return. Yes, my beautiful beloved Indian mother has gone home to where she waits for all of us, for the everlasting reunion. Yes, she has gone home to where my love for her will last for all eternity. Yes, my beloved mother, I know where you are; you have gone home, and as each of us must do one day. I too will go home, home to my beloved Indian mother. Home to live as we were meant to live, with one heart, one mind and one soul. So, my beautiful beloved Indian mother, rest assured this is not the end, only the beginning. So, until we see you at home, bye for now. Gone Home.
