Ida Mae Jessup Terry

Mrs. Ida Mae Jessup Terry, 95, of Meadows of Dan, VA, widow of Troy Jefferson Terry, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008, at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Laurel Fork, VA. Mrs. Terry was born January 31, 1913, in Patrick County, VA, to the late George and Lula Lynch Jessup. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Reed Island Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Avagene Terry of Meadows of Dan, VA, and James Rodney and Barbara Terry of Pittsboro; two grandchildren and a spouse, Wendell and Cindy Terry and Wayne Terry; a great-granddaughter and spouse, Shannon Terry Marshburn and Jamie; and special friends, Mark and Carol Wood and their sons, Jonathan and Marcus. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mary Lynn Terry. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Reed Island Springs Missionary Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Lonnie Hylton, the Rev. James Churchwell, and the Rev. Roland McCraw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Reed Island Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
