Ina Emogene Jarrell Fulk

Mrs. Ina Emogene Jarrell Fulk, 89, of 121 Old Lowgap Road, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Fulk was born July 25, 1919, in Surry County, to the late Sidney and Eva Hawks Jarrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Ivy Green Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Gail Branch of Richmond, VA, and Kathy and Allen Jenkins of Dobson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Devon and Mary Lou Fulk of Windsor and Kenneth and Shera Fulk of Mount Airy; eight grandchildren and four spouses, Chuck Fulk, Karen and Gerald Davis, Sherry Barnes, Keith and Jeanie Branch, Michael and Paula Fulk, Michelle Ward, Tammy and Sammy Wood, and Greg Jenkins; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Josifae and Carl Dresser of Winston-Salem and Bernelle and Bill Rich of Roanoke, VA; a brother, Arlan Jarrell of Mount Airy; and two sisters-in-law, Polly Jarrell of Richmond, VA, and Frances Jarrell of Ruther Glen, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fulk was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Fulk; a daughter, Carol Jean Fulk Watson; and three brothers, Oslar Jarrell, Oran Jarrell, and Clellan Jarrell. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Ivy Green Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Terry Coe and the Rev. Lester Bryant, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
