Infant Gunner Gene Massey

Two month old infant, Gunner Gene Massey, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born on October 22, 2015 in Surry County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Gene and Nellie Barnard, and his paternal great-grandfather, Joseph B. Wester, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Michaela Jae Barnard Wester of Meadows of Dan; a brother, Easton Lane Hall of the home; grandfather, Joey Wester of Meadows of Dan; grandmother, Judy Lynn Barnard of Meadows of Dan; paternal great-grandmother, Ann M. Wester of Sanford, North Carolina; an aunt, Shylah Joelle Barnard Wester of Meadows of Dan; numerous great aunts and uncles; and special friend, Christina Ann Harris of Meadows of Dan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Michael Shockley and Pastor Shawn Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnard Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
