Irene Elizabeth Pullins Stubblefield

Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Pullins Stubblefield, age 80 of Reidsville, North Carolina passed away peacefully at Eden Rehabilitation on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born in Pageton, West Virginia on August 9, 1944, to the late Fletcher Pullins and Martha Lou Phillips Pullins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Fletcher Pullins, Jr., Genetta Moore, Henry Pullins, Della Pilson, Annie Gertrude Harris, Glenda Joseph, and James Garfield Pullins. Irene was a faithful woman of God and a member of Mt. Calvary Holy Church.

Left to cherish the memories of Irene are her loving husband of 56 years, John Forrest Stubblefield, Jr.; two children, Cynthia Stubblefield, Reidsville, NC and Derrick Stubblefield, Massapequa, NY; two grandsons, Christopher Michael Stubblefield and Jalen Ayinde Dalton; six siblings, Dorothy Pullins, Stuart, VA, Mattie Scott, San Antonio, TX, Laymon Pullins (Carolyn) Lawrenceville, GA, Hattie Pullins, High Point, NC, Marquentia Pullins, High Point, NC, and Alesia Bratton, Jamestown, NC; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The homegoing service of Mrs. Stubblefield will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor C. Leander Pilson officiating. The burial will follow in Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
