Iris Louise Wall

Mrs. Iris Louise Shinault Wall, 87, of Ararat, NC passed away Saturday, July 06, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on April 22, 1932 to the late Sammy and Murphy Cain Shinault.  Mrs. Wall was a loving homemaker, and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.  She is survived by daughters, Lula Collins, and Bonnie Poindexter; sons and daughters-in-law, Aubrey and Mary Wall, Howard and Joy Wall; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and one great-grandchild on the way; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Lamon Wall; a son, Arnold Wall; one great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Debbie Wall and Anne Wall; a son-in-law, Mike Collins; fourteen brothers and sisters.  A funeral service will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kermit Gray, and the Rev. Larry Stone officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
